Prof. Faltin had a vision of radical simplicity – save costs for packaging and transportation and storage to make exclusive tea affordable.
In 1985 Prof. Günter Faltin founded Projektwerkstatt as an independent company. Back when he was a student of economics he discovered that entrepreneurship is the key to making economics not only exciting, but also consequential and sustainable. While becoming a professor of economics he thought about creating his own enterprise to have a model for his students.
Noticing that tea was sold at shockingly high prices, he looked for ways to challenge the traditional tea market. He created at new business model based on the principle of simplicity, which allows selling the world’s best Darjeeling tea at outrageously low prices and launched Teekampagne.
In 2001 Prof. Faltin together with Prof. Winterhager established a foundation for entrepreneurship with its purpose to invite people to become entrepreneurs themselves.
